A standard sporting/hunting centrefire rifle fitted with a telescope and a front bipod is all you need to compete in this class.
For short ranges such as 200 or 300 yards a .223 is fine. For longer ranges a larger calibre is more effective.
Course of Fire
Shooting is from the prone position. The standard course of fire is 2 stages each consisting of 2 sighters and 10 scoring shots. Good sighters can be kept as scoring shots.
Scoring is on a target with V, 5, 4, 3 and 2 rings. The score is out of 50 for each stage.

Technical Rules:
-Maximum weight of 6.5kg, including scope and bipod.
-Barrel length must not exceed 26 inches.
-Muzzle brakes are not permitted.
-Magazines may be used but must not be fitted until in the firing position.
-Any calibre may be used, provided it falls within energy limits of the range approval.
-A harris-style front bipod is permitted and a soft rear bag (no-ears, <1kg).
